Missing Laptop

February has been a completely crazy and stressful month for me.  With the apartment hunt and mom coming, I did not think it could get any more stressful but I was wrong.  Here is the long story...

I went on vacation on January 20th (last day at work).  I left work like normal, after packing up all of my belongings and putting my school provided laptop in my locking cabinet and left for my two week vacation.  On February 11th I went back to work to do some last minute paperwork (because I am leaving) and to attend graduation.  I unlock my cabinet and my school laptop and the keys to the language lab are missing.  I freak out and go ask for help from another teacher.  We ask the IT department if they took it (I am leaving and they would have to clean the computer and such), but they do not have it.  The head of the IT department then asks the teachers room if anyone saw anything, and nobody knows.  I leave it go because there is nothing I can do but I did say something about contacting the police because it was stolen.  After a stressful weekend of back and forth with the head English teacher, Monday February 15th, my VP tells me that he will ask Yang teacher if she has it because she asked to borrow my laptop and he thinks she has it.  That Tuesday, I discuss what will happen now since I will be on vacation again and will no longer be coming to the school, Tuesday February 16th was my last day of work.  My main co-teacher said she will send out an email to all the teachers and see if they saw anything.  They will also look at the limited CCTV's they have to see if they can see who took it (though they probably didn't catch anything).

As of now, the laptop has not been found and no leads on where it could be.  It is a hot mess and added stress that I do not need.  However, I am just not going to deal with it for now because I have too much on my plate.  My main co-teacher said she would contact me if they need something about the laptop and such, which is where it stands now.  It is just a waiting game.
