Tomatoes????

The other day was my friends birthday and she got a birthday cake with fruit on it.  Well apparently in Korea they put tomatoes on their cakes and in fruit salads.  Yes tomatoes!  I understand that tomatoes are technically fruits but it is still bizarre to see them on a cake and in fruit salads.
